According to whfoods.com, or World’s Healthiest Foods, green tea is rich in phytonutrients (anti-oxidents) which wage war against free radicals. They don’t all survive digestion, but adding lemon juice increases their absorption dramatically. So here you go…green tea with lemon. The ginger is beneficial for digestion.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup(s) honey
4 pieces fresh ginger -- 1/2" and peeled
4 green tea bags
1/4 cup(s) lemon juice
4 lemon slices
4 mint leaves
Directions
1. Bring 4 c. water with honey and ginger to a boil.
2. Add tea bags and remove from heat. Let tea steep for 5 minutes.
3. Pour tea into serving pitcher, straining out the ginger and tea bags. Add lemon juice, mix, and chill.
4. Serve over ice with lemon slices and mint leaves.
