Creamy Pumpkin Dip
Serves:
Time Required: 5 (10 min. total)

I could usually just skip dinner and indulge in the dips.  Then again I could just weigh a whole lot more than I do.  But there is a time and a season for everything, and it is dip time!  What is fun about this one is that it is not in the salt/fat department, which tastes wonderful, but in the interesting creamy, sweet group of spreads.  Easy to make in a snap and a great way to eat a lot of apples all at once.

Ingredients:

3/4 cup(s) cream cheese
1/2 cup(s) canned pumpkin
1/3 cup(s) brown sugar -- sucanat, or light brown
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp cinnamon -- more to taste

Directions

1.  In a mixing bowl combine the first three ingredients until well combined: cream cheese, pumpkin and sugar.  Then mix in syrup and cinnamon.

2.  Slice apples or pears into wedges.  Place dip in small bowl, place in center of platter or large plate, and surround with fruit wedges to create a beautiful flower.
