Serves:
Time Required: 0 (15 mins. total)

This recipe includes directions for quick stovetop cooking and delicious hot/sweet sauce for fininshing. If you cannot find mango salsa, simply add some diced mango to your favorite, standard salsa.

Ingredients:

1 lb(s) Ahi Tuna steaks
1 avocado(es) -- thick slices
1/2 cup(s) cilantro -- diced
1 lime
2 tsp honey
2 tsp hot sauce
2 tbsp mayonnaise
3/4 cup(s) Mango Salsa

Directions

1.  Pat tuna steaks dry with paper towel, then sprinkle both sides with salt, pepper, and lemon pepper as well if desired.

2.  Heat high smoking point oil, like coconut oil, in a frying pan on high heat.  When hot, add steaks and sear on one side for 1-2 minutes, then reduce heat to medium and sear for 1-2 minutes more.

3.  Turn steaks over and sear for 1-2 minutes depending on desired doneness.

4.  Remove steaks from heat to a plate or cutting board and cover loosely with tin foil for 5 minutes before slicing.

5. Spicy Mayo: Combine the mayonnaise, hot sauce and honey in a small bowl; set aside.

6.  To serve, top steak with mango salsa and drip spicy mayo over the top. Sprinkle with cilantro and fresh lime juice.

Tacos: This fish can easily be served in warmed tortillas.
